Abstract
The effects of different explants and hormones on callus induction and the generation-continuing multiplication were established with peony, the main results were as follows:(1) cotyledon, hypocotyl were the best explants for the callus induction;(2)MS+Ca2+ was the best medium for the callus induction;(3)MS+0.5 mg·L-1 2,4-D+1.5 mg·L-1 NAA+500 mg·L-1 Vc was the best medium for callus multiplication. The browning of callus could be avoided or decreased to a certain degree when 500 mg·L-1 Vc was added to the mediums,or Cu2+ was cleared in the mediums.
