Compound Lidocaine cream for patients before urinary catheterization to reduce urinary tract irritation during anesthesia recovery period

Objective To investigate the effects and clinical significance of 5% compound Lidocaine cream for adult male patients before urethral catheterication to reduce urinary tract irritation during the anesthesia recovery period.Methods 200 cases of adult male patients undergoing elective surgery were randomly divided into two groups.The control group took conventional methods of urethral catheterization after anesthesia.5% Lidocaine cream was applied before catheterization to the observation group.Urinary tract irritation and related reactions of patients in both groups were observed during the general anesthesia recovery period.Results The related urinary tract irritation reaction of the observation group was lighter than that of the control group.Conclusion 5% compound Lidocaine cream for adult male patients before urethral catheterication can significantly reduce the anesthesia recovery period of urinary tract irritation,which ensures the smooth transition.
