Effect of Fangji Huangqi Tang on TGF-β_1 and BMP-7 Expression of Renal of Unilateral Ureteeal Obstruction in Rats

Abstract

Objective:To study the influence of Fangji Huangqi Tang on expression of Transforming growth factor -β1 (TGF-β1) and Bone morphogenetic protein-7 (BMP-7),So to explore the effect of Fangji Huangqi Tang on renal interstitium fibrosis. Methods:Rats were made the model of renal interstitium fibrosis by Unilateral Ureteeal Obstruction (UUO).The rats were treated by Fangji Huangqi Tang with low/middle/high dose, and with Fosinopril as control.14 days later,The pathological change of renal tubule and interstitium were observed, the expression of protein and gene of TGF -β1 and BMP-7 in renal were measared by immunohistochemistry method and RT-PCR. Results:The injury of the renal interstitium of the rats treated by Fangji Huangqi Tang was improved, the expression of TGF -β1 decreased and the expression of BMP-7 increased significantly compared with control. Conclusion:Fangji Huangqi Tang can decrease the expression of TGF -β1 and increase the expression of BMP-7 of renal of UUO in rats,it is possible mechanism of improving renal interstitium fibrosis.
