Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of serum total cholesterol(TC),albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA) and total bile acid(TBA) determination in patients with liver cirrhosis in early diagnosis and prognosis. Methods TC,ALB,PA,TBA were detected in 207 cases of liver cirrhosis with clinical diagnosis and healthy control group 100 cases. Results Liver cirrhosis group had significantly higher total bile acid (P0.01),while albumin, prealbumin, total cholesterol decreased significantly(P0.01);with liver dysfunction total bile acids gradually increased, while albumin, prealbumin, total cholesterol gradually decreased .And prealbumin fell down earlier than albumin ,the positive rate is higher. Conclusion Combined detection of serum total cholesterol, albumin, prealbumin and total bile acid is of great significance in the liver function evaluation and prognosis of patients with cirrhosis.
