Abstract

Aim:To observe the effects of additional sijunzi decoction on damage of gastric mucosa induced by aspirin in rats. Methods:A total of 50 Wistar male rats were randomly allocated into 5 groups with 10 in each group. The control group did not receive aspirin. The other 4 groups were fed with aspirin at 300 mg/kg,5 hours later, modeling validation group(gastric ulcer long diameter ≥10 mm or mucosal haemorrhage for the successful modeling),natural recovery group [saline 15 mL/(kg·d),6 d],additional sijunzi decoction group [15 mL/(kg·d),6 d],and smecta group [0.6 g/(kg·d),5 d]were respectively treated as above. The blood samples were taken by removing the eyes to detect the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α,and the NOS content in gastric mucosa was also detected using ELISA.Results:Serum IL-1β and TNF-α,NOS contents in gastric mucosa among the 5 groups had significant differences(F=8.341,18.232,and 14.562,P0.05).Compared with those of the control group, the IL-1β,TNF-α and NOS contents were higher in modeling validation and natural recovery groups(P0.05),but had no differences in additional sijunzi decoction and smecta groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Additional sijunzi decoction has a repairing effect on gastric mucosa damage induced by aspirin.
