Abstract

Objective To investigate the association between the polymorphism of angiogenesisⅡ type 2 receptor(AT2R) gene C3123A and essential hypertension(EH) of Hans in Ningxia. Methods The study was performed in 137 patients with essential hypertension and 149 healthy controls.Blood samples of these groups were collected and DNA was extracted.AT2R gene polymorphism was detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Results In male and female subgroup:The frequencise of each genotypes and allelics showed no significant difference between EH group and NT group(P0.05).Binary stepwise logistic regression analysis showed that body mass index(BMI),creatinine(Cr) and glueose(GLU) were independent risk factors for essential hyper-tension in famale subgroup, body mass index(BMI) also was risk factor for EH in male's.Conclusion No significant association was found between the C3123A polymorphism of AT2R gene and essential hypertension in Hans of Ningxia.
