The Current Situation of High School Physical Education in Shanghai

By using the methods of questionnaire and mathematical statistics,this paper makes an investigation on condition of physical and health education for high schools in Shanghai.The result shows that Shanghai experimental model high schools have good venues,sports equipment,and the venues open longer than those in other schools,which can meet the needs of exercise for the students.Moreover,the arrangement of physical education in high schools is reasonable so that students can have a good knowledge of physical exercise.However,there are still many problems in High School Physical Education in Shanghai.For example,Physical Education curriculum is too simple,and sports injury accident security system is still imperfect.Although students have a good understanding of physical exercise,they have relatively less time for physical exercise after class..
