A General Appraisal of the Reform of China' s Monopoly Industries

China carries out two rounds of reform in its monopoly industries in the mid of 1980s and 1990s respectively.So far, the reform of introducing or strengthening competition in telecommunications, electricity, aviation, railway, postal service has been implemented. Undoubtedly, it is necessary to objectively appraise the current status of the reform in monopoly industries so as to draw some lessons as well as clearly understand the realistic contradictions in this reform in order to boost the further reform and sustainable development in monopoly industries.
