Abstract

The reform of traditional natural monopoly industries is one of nodus in the process of China' s road to market economy. Based on recent developments of natural monopoly theory and the reality of China, the paper points out several defects of China' s natural monopoly industries, the issue of regulatory system especially. Hereafter, the paper brings forward the further reform plan of China' s regulatory system, and some policies related to future reform are discussed.
