Evaluation on the clinical effect and safety of locking plate in the application of femoral intertrochanteric fracture

Objective To study the clinical effect and safety of locking plate in the application of femoral intertrochanteric fracture.Methods 32 patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture who were treated with locking plate in our hospital from January 2009 to October 2011 were selected as observation group,and 32patients who were treated with dynamic hip screw at the same time were selected as control group,then the excellent and good rate,operation time,blood loss during the operation,postoperative drainage volume,healing time,incidence of complications and Bathel index before and after the treatment at third and sixth month of two groups were compared.Results The excellent and good rate of observation group was higher than that of control group,operation time and healing time were shorter than those of control group,blood loss during the operation and postoperative drainage volume were less than those of control group,incidence of complications was lower than that of control group,Bathel index were better than those of control group,all P0.05,there were all significant differences.Conclusion The clinical effect and safety of locking plate in the application of femoral intertrochanteric fracture is better.
