Clinical comparative analysis of dynamic hip screw and locking plate in treatment for elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture

Objective To investigate clinical effect of dynamic hip screw and locking plate in treatment for elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture. Methods 102 elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture were selected in hospital from May 2011 to April 2013.According to operation methods,patients were divided into two groups. 49 patients treated dynamic hip screw as control group. 53 patients treated locking plate as observation group.Operation indications,postoperative recovery Condition,complications were compared between two groups. Results Operation time,intraoperative bleeding volume,postoperative hospitalization time,load time,healing time of fracture in observation group were significantly less than control group. Excellent and good rate of postoperative functional recovery in observation group was significantly higher than control group. Complication rate in observation group was significantly lower than control group.Differences was significant(P 0.05). Conclusion Compared with dynamic hip screw,locking plate has less wound and better functional recovery,which can shorten treatment time and cause less complications,while security is higher.
