Effect analysis of locking plate in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture

Objective To observe and analyze the clinical effect of proximal femoral anatomic locking plate in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture.Methods 156 cases of patients with intertrochanteric fracture were admitted to our hospital from May 2007 to May 2012 and were divided into control group and observation group,control group were received the treatment of dynamic hip screw,the observation group were received the treatment of proximal femoral anatomic locking plate.The clinical effects of the two groups were analyzed.Results The length of stay,duration of operation,operative incision,amount of bleeding and efficiency rate in observation group was(15.3±3.6) d,(85.9±18.2) min,(9.4±1.6) cm,(292.7±17.8) ml and 97.4% respectively,was better than(16.1 ±4.5) d,(112.4±20.8) min,(13.5±3.7) cm,(354.1±21.4) ml and 84.6% respectively in control group,the difference was significant(P0.05).Conclusion Proximal femoral anatomic locking plate in the treatment of intertrochanteric fracture has shorter duration of operation,smaller incision,less bleeding,reliable fixation and better fracture healing,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
