Clinical analysis of laparoscopic treatment for ovarian benign tumor:a report of 102 cases

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of laparoscopy on ovarian benign tumor.Methods:The data of 102 patients undergoing laparoscopic operations on ovarian benign tumor(laparoscopic group)in recent 5 years were retrospectively analyzed.And the data of 95 patients undergoing open procedures were randomly contrasted(open group).Results:The operation time and the cost of hospitalization showed no significant difference in two groups(P0.05).The blood loss,the time of postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery,the postoperative hospitalization,the number of cases of fever,the duration of using antibiotics and cases of analgesia drug needed in laparoscopy group were all significantly less than those of open group(P0.01).Conclusions:Laparoscopy is the first choice of procedure in treating ovarian benign tumor due to its minimal invasion and rapid recovery.
