Abstract
[Purpose]To investigate the effect of laparoscopic surgery for benign ovarian tumor.[Method] Forty-five cases with benign ovarian tumor undergoing laparoscopic surgery from May 2004 to May 2005 were enrolled as group A,and in the same period 50 cases undergoing laparotomy were enrolled as group B.Operating time,intra-operative blood loss and post-operative recovery were compared between the 2 groups.[Result]There was no significant difference for operating time between the 2 groups.Less blood loss, less post-operative morbidity, less antibiotic use and shorter hospital stay were found in group A than those in group B,with significant difference.[Conclusion]Laparoscopic surgery for benign ovarian tumor reveals superiority in less invasive, good effect, rapid recovery and short of hospital stay.
