Status quo analysis of health services of Yunyang county residents in Chongqing Municipality

Objective To analyze the status quo of health services of Yunyang County residents in Chongqing Municipality and to provide the basis for scientific decision-making to the decision-making departments.Methods 840 permanent residents from 14 administrative villages(community) were randomly extracted with a multi-stage random sampling method,and home-based family health survey was carried out;a database was established with EPI Data 3.0 and data statistical analysis was carried out by SAS9.1.Results The urban and rural residents′ demands and requirements for health service in Yunyang County are greater while their utilization capability is lower;the coverage of health insurance for urban residents is low,and the residents undertake a heavy economic burden of sickness;the reactive issues of health services are outstanding,and health services need to be strengthened;rural maternal and child health care is urgent to be strengthened,the unhealthy lifestyles and behavior of residents are generally existing,and the prevalence of chronic diseases is high,of which the hypertension is the highest.Conclusion We should strengthen the inputs and construction of the primary health care system,establish and improve the medical security system and monitoring system,and improve maternal and child health care,and increase health education and health promotion in order to improve the accessibility and fairness of health services and to meet the health needs of residents and improve the people′s health.
