Abstract

Phomopsis blight is caused by the fungus Phomopsis vexans is a most destructive disease of brinjal. Symptoms of Phompsis blight are appeared on seedling and fruiting stages that's resulting in reducing of marketable value. There were twenty isolates were taken in each inoculation method and different inoculation methods viz; seed inoculation, soil inoculation, spray inoculation, droplet inoculation and root dip inoculation. We found that the best inoculation was spray inoculation and after that droplet inoculation then seed inoculation then root dip inoculation and then soil inoculation on the basis of disease severity percentage. These all observations were observed from most susceptible variety of brinjal in pot condition.
