Abstract
Objective To establish and evaluate animal model of hepatic fibrosis caused by schistosomiaisis.Methods 34 rabbits,each was challenged by 100 S.j cercariae,were induced to hepatic fibrosis.12~13 weeks post challenge,liver-clearing oral medicine(DHT) and praziquantel(PQT) were adopted as intervene therapies.Those rabbits with hepatic fibrosis were distributed into 3 groups randomly:high dose group(group A);low dose group(group B) and control group(group C).The pathology of hepatic tissue and HYP HA levels in serum were served as index of model evaluation.Results 12~13 weeks post challenge,the animal model of hepatic fibrosis was established.The pathology and HYP /HA level in serum were changed in different degrees.The HYP /HA levels in serum of A,B groups pre and post therapy intervention showed a significant decrease(P0.01).And the results of pathology of liver tissues and HYP /HA levels showed that the degrees of hepatic fibrosis and serum levels of HYP /HA in high dose grouplow dose groupcontrol group(P0.01).Conclusion The detection of the changes of HYP /HA levels in serum is a convenient,rapid,reliable and noninvasive index in evaluating the therapeutic effect on hepatic fibrosis and also the changes of HYP /HA level in serum are correspond with the results of pathology,so the detection of those indices has a pragmatic value in application.
