Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of Jiaweisinisan on liver fibrosis. Method The rat model of liver fibrosis was induced by Dimethylnirtosamine (DMN), and treated with Jiaweisinisan for the experimental group and with colchicine tablets for the positive control group. After the four week treatment with Jiaweisinisan, the serum levels of ALT, ALP, GGT, TP, ALB, HA and C-IV were determined. Hydroxyproline(HyP) level in the liver was detected. Histopathology of the liver was also observed. Result After treatment with Jiaweisinisan, the serum levels of ALT, ALP, GGT, HA, C-IV and the HyP from hepatic tissue decreased significantly, while the levels of TP and ALB were increased. The pathological lesion of hepatic fibrosis was also significantly improved in post-treatment. Conclusion Jiaweisinisan has an obvious effect on liver fibrosis in the rat liver fibrosis model.
