Abstract
Responding to the latest developments in yacht design, an attempt is made to design a High Performance 50’ daysailer. The design was connected with a study into an alternative appendage set up featuring a canting keel, a rudder and a canard. \nThe final yacht designed for this was a 52’ high performance yacht that is designed to satisfy the requirements of aesthetics and easy handling. It was found that in this design the twin foil arrangement is superior to the conventional arrangement in most cases.
