Abstract

The Hubei Province in China has been, during the last decade, the sight for planning and construction of 20 large-span bridges over the Yangtze and Han Rivers. Many of the bridges have already opened for use. This article briefly describes three large-span bridges currently under construction. All provide crossings over the Yangtze River: the Wuhan Junshan Bridge is a cable-stayed structure with steel deck and concrete pylons; the Ehuang Bridge is cable-stayed with prestressed concrete, and Jingzhou bridge is also a prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge.
