Abstract

Different types of experimental ballastless track were laid in two tunnels in connection with the electrification of the Heidelberg-Wurtzburg line to avoid changing the arch and the foundation raft in the tunnels despite the different clearances required. The authors describe the experience gained from this project and the sound insulation measures taken.
