Abstract
This article looks at how the new generation of telematics systems will impact the trucking industry. Telematics systems are now being developed by vehicle manufacturers, most often in conjunction with a communications partner. The article discusses how an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) telematics partnership might offer more than standard fleet management services. This would include advantages such as cost-effective access to other remote monitoring and control services, in comparison to wireless communication systems offered by current providers.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
