Abstract
This paper presents a review on information, communications, safety and entertainment systems. It reports on a forecast predicting that vehicle telematics sales will amount to $7 billion in the U.S. in 2007, and $8.5 billion in Europe. CD-ROM based telematics systems are described. It is expected that floating telematics, with traffic flow and diversion facilities, may be able to prevent traffic jams. Other references include a Decentralized Traffic Routing System (DTR) to be implemented in Munich, and a discussion on telematics subsidiaries of motor vehicle manufacturers.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
