Abstract

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Core Capacity Study in an extensive evaluation of the WMATA Transit system requirements within its central Core area. The study was conducted in order for WMATA to project how its infrastructure would handle the predicted doubling of transit ridership that is expected by the year 2025.
