Abstract

California's plan for welfare reform requires coordination at the County level between government agencies responsible for welfare and public transportation. This paper discusses the welfare reform transportation planning process underway in Los Angeles County and describes cooperative efforts to plan services for new workers. There is optimism that better coordination will lead to a more responsive array of services for welfare reform transportation.
