CROSS-BORDER RTT DEPLOYMENT THROUGH THE EURO-REGIONAL PROJECTS

Abstract

The European Union is supporting deployment of traffic management measures based on RTT through the Trans European Network for Transport (TEN-T) budget line, besides the support for R&D given through the framework programmes. The TEN-T traffic management projects are either European, Euro-regional, or national. The emphasis in the current action is on Euro-regional projects. Twelve EU member states are currently participating in four Euro-regional projects, with a fifth one under establishment (ARTS). This paper contains brief descriptions of the four Euro-regional projects (CENTRICO, SERTI, VIKING and CORVETTE) that were set up in 1995 and 1996. For the covering abstract, see IRRD 490001.
