THREE-PHASE CURRENT FOR A.C. TRACTIVE UNITS

Abstract

The author considers the suitability of phase series converters used together with various current converters at the mains to supply power to three-phase current powered rail vehicles. He analyses in detail the various power supply units as far as their use on such vehicles is concerned. He ends by referring to the regulation and dynamics of the asynchronous motor.
