Abstract
Technical progress in the field of transistors has now made it possible not only to integrate the processing of signals but also to construct three-phase current motors with a rating control, supplied by converters. The writer discusses the characteristics of the asynchronous squirrel-cage rotor and the influence of the rating and torque control in the case of a power supply from a frequency converter; he then describes the structure and operation of converters for variable output frequency and voltage.
