Abstract
Three-phase drives with modern power and control electronics have now been in service in public transportation systems for ten years, a mark in time which makes it appropriate to analyse the progress achieved in both technology and application. Focal points, such as traction motors, drive assemblies, static converters, electronic regulating and monitoring equipment, and the question of compatibility are discussed in connection with the possibilities offered by the new technology. The effects on coach building and power supply infractures are examined under the aspect of future goals.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
