Abstract
Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is scheduled to launch its prestigious Rail 2000 project a year from now, with expected improved operation and train connections across the network. SBB has decided to implement the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) as well as the European Train Control System (ETCS) to help meet its ambitious objectives of higher speeds, greater line capacity, and faultless reliability on the whole railway. ERTMS/ETCS will be commissioned by December 2005.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
