Fairfield City's asset management system

Fairfield City Council implemented the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system during 2006. This paper explores the process followed in putting the system in place and identifies the successes during implementation and some of the gaps and difficulties arising during the process. The project has successfully implemented a system consolidating Council's asset information and raised awareness of assets and asset management across a broad range of stakeholders. The successes of the project were attributable to the skills, commitment and expertise brought to the project by those involved in the projects delivery.
