Abstract

High-speed tilting trains were proposed for parts of France's TGV network. They are presently in use in the United Kingdom, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Less expensive to put into service than the TGV trains, the tilting trains can reach speeds of 200 km per hour. Some regions of France want to implement the tilting trains quickly, while other areas do not want them at all.
