Abstract

With the guidance of the sustainable development idea, this paper analyzed the restricting factors and necessity of sustainable urban traffic in China. The concept of sustainable urban traffic is discussed and then the principles and characters are stated about urban traffic planning characterized by sustainable development. Tactical planning for sustainable urban traffic in China is put forward.
