Abstract
By examing the current state of urban traffic the restrictive factors of sustainable development of urban traffic in China are analyzed. That the reasonable land use planning is the precondition of urban traffic planning is discussed including the essential method to resolve the primary contradiction of our urban traffic in 21 century, the effective approach to carry out sustainable development of our urban traffic.
