Abstract

This paper describes how Metropolitan Detroit is undertaking a pilot project to develop a Regional Concept for Transportation, and the process builds upon the existing Traffic Incident Management Program. Extensive stakeholder interviews were used to develop goals and objectives for transportation operations. The paper describes the stakeholder interview process and the developing partnerships in the region. The result of the process is a listing of agreed upon activities to improve regional transportation operations.
