Abstract
As one of the U.S. Department of Transportation's strategies to improve productivity, mobility and safety, this video describes the five components of intelligent vehicle highway systems (ATMS, ATIS APTS, CVO, AVCS). By utilizing advanced technologies in the computer control and communications fields, IVHS has the potential to ameliorate traffic congestion and improve traffic safety on the nation's highways. IVHS can become a reality if public private partnerships are developed and maintained
