The design is an open bridgedeck 10.3m racer/cruiser sailing catamaran. The anticipated racing is a range of inshore and offshore racing under the MOCRA handicap \nrule or other similar handicap rules used in Europe. As many of these races are single or double handed the deck layout is oriented to that type of racing which should also \nbenefit the cruising sailor. For cruising the boat has ample interior room including dedicated sleeping spaces for five, and a proper galley and navigation station. The design is suitable for home or short run construction of the hulls with the beams being professionally constructed. \nIn order to be eligible for entry in the proposed racing schedule the boat has been designed to the ISAF’s OSR Category 1 and RCD Category B. The hull and platform design \nis to ISO Category A to meet the OSR requirements. The hull structures have been designed primarily using Hullscant and the platform structure has been designed using loads calculated from the Bureau Veritas Rules. \nThe design has been oriented to the MOCRA rule by utilizing a wider than average hull spacing to increase sail carrying power; this has been shown to allow significantly higher \nboat speeds with no impact on the rating. \nThe resulting boat is a fast short handed racer while still being a capable coastal cruiser.
