Abstract

Objective To study the pathological characteristics and the associated factors in IgA nephropathy presenting with isolated hematuria.Method Clinical and pathological characteristics and the associated factors in 36 patients with IgA nephropathy confirmed by biopsy and presented with isolated hematuria. Results Hematuria is the main manifestation in patients with IgA nephropathy presenting with isolated hematuria. The symptom is accompanied with lumbago, pharyngodynia and fatigue.Mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis is the main pathological features.Lee's pathological grading is predominately Type Ⅱand Type Ⅲ.Conclusion Patients with isolated hematuria of IgA nephropathy had a fairly high sickness rate. The disease may be ignored as the symptom is mild.
