Pathological and clinical analysis of IgA renopathy

Objective To analyze the relationship between clinical presentation and pathological feature with IgA nephropathy. Methods Primary IgA nephropathy was made after successive native renal biopsies of 136 patients in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Medical College between August 1996 and August 2005, their renal clinical presentations and pathological features were analyzed. Results Asymptomatic hematuria with the presence of proteinuria was the most common clinical manifestation(77.9%), followed by simple hematuria(15.4%). The pathological change of glomerulus were mainly typeⅡ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ. Conclusion The relation between the clinical manifestation and pathological type of IgA nephropathy is complicated and it showed a strong correlation with the change of renal function.
