Abstract

We measured the relative yields of ..pi../sup +/ and K/sup +/ mesons and of protons produced in interaction between a 70-GeV proton beam and Be or Cu nuclei in the region of large transverse momenta (p/sub perpendicular/>1 GeV/c). The measurement results point to scale invariance of the relative kaon yields as functions of x/sub perpendicular/.
