Abstract
[Objective] To analyze epidemiological trend and incidence of viral hepatitis in Funing from 1991-2008. [Methods] Descriptive epidemiology was used to analyze annual reports on infectious diseases in Funing from 1991-2008. [Results] 17 705 cases of hepatitis in 18 years were reported, of which 18 died. The average incidence of the disease was 91.3 per 100 000. The fatality rate was 0.1%. The incidence of viral hepatitis showed a downward trend. [Conclusion] Vaccination can reduce incidence of the disease. At the same time, using the effective measures is a key to reduce the incidence of viral hepatitis.
