Abstract

Objective To study the resistance and resistance gene of Culex pipiens pallens to insecticides, and to provide the basis information for the reasonable use of insecticide. Methods The dipping method and PCR technology were used in this study. Results The resistance ratios of Cx.pipiens pallens field strain to deltamethrin,DDVP,acetophenate, propoxur were 9.10,4.52,2.27 and 2.04 times respectively. It had no resistance to beta-cypermethrin and allethrin.Eleven genes related to resistance were detected by PCR in the field strain, including 1 P450 super family,2 sodium channel genes,2 esterase gene,1 acetylcholinesterase(AChE)receptor gene,1 super oxide dlsmutase(SOD)gene and 4 other resistance association genes. Conclusion Cx.pipiens pallens has different resistance to deltamethrin and DDVP,and eleven genes detected are related to resistance.
