Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between non-specific esterase(NSE) and insecticide-resistance of Culex pipiens pallens, and provide a basis for the mosquito insecticide-resistance bio-chemical detection. Methods Measuring the resistance level and NSE activity level of sensitive(S),anti-DDVP(Rd),anti-Propoxur(Rp),anti-Cypermethrin(Rc) strains of Culex pipiens pallens and their degradation strains(Rddegradation,Rpdegradation,Rcdegradation). Results The resistance index of Rd,Rp,Rddegradation and Rpdegradation strains were 12.17,11.21,6.10 and 8.38 respectively, and the individual frequency not less than 1.0 of NSE activity OD value were 95.10%,52.77%,57.33% and 40.28% each;the resistance index of Rc and Rcdegradation strains were 534.31 and 83.26 each, and the individual frequency not less than 1.0 of NSE activity OD value were 8.75% and 8.33% each, similar to the 8.25% individual frequency of S strain. Conclusion The orgnaophosphorus and carbamate pesticide resistance of Culex pipiens pallens change with NSE activity, but the pyrethroid resistance of Culex pipiens pallens does not change with NSE activity.NSE activity detection can be applied for the evaluation of orgnaophosphorus and carbamate pesticide resistance statement of Culex pipiens pallens.
