Abstract

[Objective] To observe the effect of Carvedilol on ventricular remodeling and cardiac function of chronicity congested heart failure (CHF). [Methods] 115 patients with CHF were divided into group A (61patients) and group B (64 patients). Both groups were treated with normal therapy. Carvedilol was given to Group B. NYHA classification, left ventricular end diastolic (LVEDd),left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESd),left ventricular eject fraction (LVEF) were recorded before and after treatment. [Results] The LVEDd,LVESd and LVEF of group B showed significant difference when comparing with those before treatment (P﹤0.05). Compared with group A,group B had great significant difference (P﹤0.05). [Conclusion] Normal therapy adds Carvedilol can obviously improve the ventricular remodeling and cardiac function in the CHF.
