Abstract
This paper reports the isolation and structure determination of a new flavonoid named ganhuangenin and characterization of four other known components from the root of Scutellaria rehderiana. Ganhuangenin was elucidated as 5,7,3′,6′-tetrahydroxy-8,2′-dimethoxyflavone on the basis of spectroscopic analysis (UV, IR, MS,~1H and ~(13)C NMR). The known flavonoids were identified as baicalin, wogonin, baicalein and oroxylin-A.
