Abstract

Nine flavonoids were isolated from the root of Scutellaria tenax. They were identified as tenaxin-Ⅰ (5,2'-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone), viscidulin-Ⅰ (3,5,7,2',6'-pentahydroxyflavone), baicalin, baicalein, wogonoside, wogonin, oroxylin-A, neobaicalein, (skullcapflavone Ⅱ), by spectroscopic analysis (UV, IR, MS, HNMR). Another flavonoid compound is to be identified.
