Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of color Doppler ultrasonography in the diagnosis of nodular goiter. Methods Sixty-nine nodular goiter cases confirmed by operation-pathology and thirty-three thyroid adenoma cases were investigated by two-dimensional and color Doppler ultrasonography with high-probe. The blood flow parameters of the intranodular and perinodular blood flow were studied. Results Nodular goiters were generally multiple, usually had indistinct and irregular margins,no halo signs, some of them had uncontinuty capsules;most of them had cystic degeneration.calcification. The intranodular and perinodular blood flow were not hypervascular; thyroid adenoma was usually singular and had regular、complete capsules with halo signs.CDFI:the blood flow was abundant in the inside and the peripheral of the thyroid adenoma. Conclusion Two-dimensional and color Doppler ultrasonography with high-probe are helpful for diagnosing nodular goiter.
