Abstract
Beta-ketoacyl-ACP synthase is a fatty acid synthesis under the condensation effect of enzyme,plays a role in the condensation reaction.The primer was designed according to the KASⅢ sequences recorded in genbank.Full-Length cDNA of KAS Ⅲ was obtained by cloning it with PCR,RACE,etc.methods.It was 1 901 bp in length and contained a 1 209 bp ORF(open reading frame) encoding a peptide of 403 amino acids,amino acid sequence alignment with other species showed that the KASⅢ of Vernicia fordii displayed the highest similarity(90%) to Jatropha curcas.The predicted isoelectric point of the KASⅢ was 5.78.A membrane spanning domain was present in the gene.The protein shows hydrophilic basically.
