Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of electroacupuncture plus Chinese herbal fumigation and application in treating relapsed lumbar disc herniation after lumbar disc surgery.Method Eighty-four patients were randomly allocated to a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group(44 subjects) received electroacupuncture plus Chinese herbal fumigation and application. The control group(40 subjects) only received electroacupuncture treatment. The therapeutic results were evaluated and compared after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 90.9% in the treatment group and 82.5% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Combined electroacupuncture and Chinese herbal fumigation and application therapy has better effect than simple electroacupuncture in treating the relapsed lumbar disc herniation after lumbar disc surgery.
