Abstract
Objective:The biological safety of zirconia ceramics dopanted with 5 kinds of colorants were tested by in vitro cytotoxicity. Method:The fibroblasts of L929 mouse were cultured in the extract of different materials for 2,4,7 days respectively. The morphology of the cells were observed by microscope, and the proliferation of cells were examined using tetrazolium colorimetric assay. Result:During all culture periods,L929 cells showed normal morphology and proliferation increased with culture time. The toxicity gradation of all groups was 0~1.Conclusion:This study initially demonstrated that the five kinds of colorized zirconia had excellent biological safety.
